As an elector of Jefferson Hills Borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, acting in my capacity as a resident of this community with an inalienable right to local self-governance, hereby petition and direct the members of the Jefferson Hills Borough Council, who are sworn to protect the health, safety and welfare of this community, to advertise and then adopt the Jefferson Hills Community Protection from Natural Gas Extraction Ordinance, which the People of the Borough have submitted to the members of their Council.
